Set within the Old Town, the blue mediterranean sea and surrounding mountain views, Customs House has the enviable status of being ideally located just a short distance from the town pebble beach and all that Kalkan Old Town has to offer.

Customs house occupies such a prominent place in the history of Kalkan that the authorities insist the owners keep it that traditional pink colour, as well as having to maintain its architectural integrity and maintain the Ottoman flag that is engraved on the decorative front “ pediment “ overlooking the sea

The main entrance opens into the open plan living area. Original vaulted ceilings and a fireplace make a grand statement in this otherwise relaxing space. Large patio doors allow the beauty of the views to flood in, lighting up the space with warmth and sunshine.

The kitchen is fitted with glossy white cabinets and black marble countertops, and all the utensils you would need should you wish to cook at home.

Also on this ground level are an outside dining space with a relaxing hammock with views of the sea.

As you reach for the bedrooms, the first landing has a relaxing seating area with TV if you simply want time to yourself when everyone else is not outside enjoying the rooftop pool and summer sun.

Each bedroom is individually styled and furnished.  The first double bedroom with en-suite bathroom is on this level with side views of the beach area.

On the upper level are the remaining two bedrooms – the twin bedroom faces the harbour; and the double bedroom has access to its own private balcony with seating with panoramic sea views of Kalkan bay and the sweeping stretches of the Turkish Mediterranean.

Rising further you are then met with a beautiful roof terrace with sun-loungers, comfortable seating and the plunge pool.

In addition to the main house there are 3 self-contained apartments. Pembe , Sonsuz and Gizli which creates opportunities for families and friends to travel together at neighbouring properties but still retain the customs house characteristics design while creating private environment.

Cleaning
Cleanliness and Hygiene are more important now than ever. The property is cleaned before and after you, the linens and towels are washed and the beds are freshly covered.  Bed linen and towels will be changed for those staying longer than a week.

Health & Safety
We are committed to Health and Safety on an ongoing basis. Health and Safety Guidelines are on display when you enter LaVanta; and also around the pool at the Clubhouse. We ask that you follow these guidelines.

When you book with us, you will receive a complimentary bag of travel toiletries on your arrival in each bathroom. Contained within the bag are a locally sourced soap, and a shampoo, shower gel and body wash. (*Contents may be subject to change based on supplies).
