Kas

Beautiful harbour town is surrounded by the dramatic Taurus Mountains and located a 25 minute drive from Kalkan along a spectacularly beautiful coastal road. The sparkling peninsula is a favourite of ours and holds many very fond memories.
This town has a real Turkish flavour. An array of shops, including many boutique, offering up traditional Turkish delights.
The harbour is the focal point of the town, for scuba divers, sailors and yachters (from the nearby marina) or those with a keen interest in experiencing the local tea gardens which provide a great spot in which to relax in the shade and soak up the Turkish atmosphere. Traditional Turkish cuisine is in abundance with a blend of international food offerings. The town is not far from the nearest Greek Island (Meis). A trip to Greece within an hour of leaving the harbour!!
Market Day
The local market takes place every Friday.
Culture
Many of the historical sites are a 30-60 minute drive or gulet trip away, for example, Kekova the nearby sunken city. Literally!
Beaches & Beach Clubs
Plenty of swimming opportunities including local pebble beaches and platforms which provide good spots from which to swim. Limanazie is a little hidden gem a short water taxi trip from the harbour. Secluded beaches with their own beach clubs. All beach clubs come with their own restaurant and bar.
Kaş prides itself on being able to offer a little taste of adventure.
Scuba Diving and Paragliding
Trips from the harbour – early in the morning – can take you to some of the most spectacular dive sites on the Mediterranean coastline. Beginners can head to the shallow waters around Snake or Heybeli islands, and view the spectacular rock pinnacles at Frank Wall. Advanced divers can visit the dramatic wall at the southern tip of Snake island, where barracuda, grouper and smaller fish are found in abundance. There are also sandy-floored caves to explore and a number of reefs. The most unforgettable dive site, however, is to be found at Sakarya Reef, where divers can see the wreck of the Duchess of York trawler.
Local walks & Treks
Lycian Way tour is the most popular (see earlier description) or a walk around the breathtaking countryside.
